How to do it, step by step
- Place your hands slightly wider than your shoulders and extend your legs.
- Form a straight line from head to heels, abs and glutes tight.
- Lower your chest toward the floor with elbows about 45° from your body.
- Push the floor away until your arms are straight. If it's too hard, drop to your knees.
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips sag or pike up.
- Flaring your elbows to 90°, which strains the shoulders.
- Doing half reps.
